Deadline Piece: Richards Photo Exhibition

The opening reception for Cory Richards’ photography exhibition opened September 2, filling the Laughing Goat Coffeehouse on 1709 Pearl Street.  The photos will be on display for the month of September and 10 percent of the final proceeds will be donated to the buyer’s choice of either The Alex Lowe Charitable Foundation or Naropa University.

Cory Richards, local photographer and professional climber, has traveled to Nepal 16 times within the past 18 months. His latest collection is a composite of his travels over the past seven years, with the majority of his work completed within the past 18 months.

“The title of the show ‘the more I see…’ is finished by ‘…the less I know,’” Richards said.  “The basis of my work is observing people in their environment and taking images in a natural environment not available to the viewer.”
